Tidal Flats, Fujian

A coastal water of an area of 30,000 km and some 200 islands, these coastal wetland or tidal flats in Xiapu northeast of Fujian is a natural habit for fish and shell fishes. Fish farms sprang up all over the area. For hundreds of years, fishermen live on fish rafts, using boats as the only mean of travel between rafts and the land.
